Powerful and at once tremendously melodic, both atmospheric and full of driving dynamics, cleverly devised and still one hundred per cent handmade – ARILYN are all this and even more. Since their foundation in 2000, the four guys from the Palatinate region in Germany have always considered alleged opposites as challenges that are to be playfully mastered. With a blend of unbridled rock power and atmospheric complexity that might at best compared to bands like "Porcupine Tree" or "Pink Floyd". Even in motherland of prog music England, the four musicians from Ludwigshafen are no strangers anymore: Invited by "Classic Rock Society", they have already given a number of cheerfully acclaimed performances – for instance as support act of "IQ", "Mostly Autumn" and "Spock’s Beard". In the year 2006 they were nominated as "Best New Band" for the Classic Rock Society Award. You can check out their power and enthusiasm on their Live DVD "Live in England" (2006) where they recorded the legendary gig at the "Rotherham Rocks Festival" in 2005. After their debut album "Tomorrow Never Comes" – which in 2002 had instantly stirred sensation even beyond their home country – and the critically acclaimed follow-ups "Virtual Reality" (2005), "Alter Ego" (2007) and "Shadows Of The Past" (2013) the art rockers from Ludwigshafen/Germany will show a new facet of their music: The acoustic album "A Stripped-Down Journey" that was highly requested by fans was released at the 2nd of May 2014. Beyond the usual "lets-do-an-unplugged-album" idea, long known and loved Arilyn songs appear in completely new funky and jazzy outfits.
